We went about a half hours drive up Hunter Creek near where we live to find us some snow covered mountains and look for mushrooms. Not schrooms, ok? LOL! I am talking Chantrels, coral mushrooms and whatever edibles we could find. My FAVORITE are black trumpets. We didn't find those, but a neighbor gave us a handful they picked just up the road from us. We found out they are low to the ground under pine trees and not higher up in the mountains. Guess what I will be looking for this weekend? HA!
We went as far as we could go till my husbands little yellow 4x4 toyota truck we squeezed in together couldn't drive any further because of the snow on the road. Since we couldn't find any place for Daniella to use the snow board and big inner tube with it being too steep on the sides of the mountain, my husband had a brilliant idea. He tied a rope on the hitch ball on the back of his truck and then tied the other end around the big inner tube. He put the snow board with handles in the center of the tube so Daniella could get pulled and have a WEEEEEEEEEEEEE time in the snow. :)
I ran as far as I could to keep up, but then I finally jumped in the back of the truck to rest a bit and cheer Daniella on. She was LOVING IT! We pulled her at a slow enough speed for about a mile and a half. She played around a little more in the snow and we took some pics of two already made snowmen. :) We live in such a beautiful place. Even though we didn't have snow at home because we are about 3 miles inland from the ocean, you just drive about 20 or so mins away and BAM! SNOW, SNOW, SNOW and awesome mountains with the clouds sitting and dancing about them. Little water falls and this COOL place we are looking to camp by when it gets a little warmer with incredible rocks and a steep beautiful backdrop to do some climbing. It was good to get out of the house and take in some clean southern coastal Oregon air! Ahhhhhhh~
I haven't been too motivated to get out these days, but I am glad I finally did along with the family as we experienced a much needed taste of Yahweh's beauty all around us.
TASTE and SEE that the Lord is good!
Be BLESSED in JAH, YAHWEH ELOHIM MOST HIGH!
