Update ~ Jan 4, 2012

i apologize for not typing out the second part to the Sovereignty of God i purposed in my heart to put together along with the Sovereignty of God over His people, but i have had some physical issues that has taken it's toll. i would encourage you to look into purchasing the book, Trusting God Even when Life Hurts by Jerry Bridges that goes into depth about the Sovereignty of God, His Love, trusting Him and growing through adversity.

So many things have taken place in the past few months that i feel i must not strive with some areas of my life that have been a bit slow in coming together. i must accept my place of being alone and solitary from kindred brothers and sisters in Christ that i so long to be in daily fellowship with. Personally it has been an ongoing  struggle of pressing in and pulling back.

It's a challenge to stay the course when you lack the encouragement and giftings from other brethren i see laid out in scripture. Trusting and pressing on daily toward the goal of the upward call in Christ is what i so purpose in my heart by the grace and strength that i receive from Father, Yeshua and His indwelling Holy Spirit.

i ask and wait for a song when it is in Yahweh Elohim's good time to give it. Until then, i wait on Him with renewed strength to run and not be weary and to walk and not faint.

i will put up a link to a Spirit inspired Word that really ministered to me from a brother in Christ who has been living out and experiencing what it really means to share in the fellowship of Christ's sufferings. i pray it so ministers, encourages and challenges you wherever you are and your own personal spiritual struggles, troubles and trials you encounter in your walk with your blessed and glorious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

C. H. Spurgeon

"When I passed by thee, I said unto thee, Live."—Ezekiel 16:6.
AVED one, consider gratefully this mandate (of mercy. Note that this fiat of God is majestic. In our text, we perceive a sinner with nothing in him but sin, expecting nothing but wrath; but the eternal Lord passes by in His glory; l He looks. He pauses, and He pronounces the solitary but royal word, "Live." There speaks a God. Who but He could venture thus to deal with life and dispense it with a single syllable? Again, this fiat is manifold. When He saith "Live," it includes many things. Here is judicial life. The sinner is ready to be condemned, but the mighty One saith, "Live," and he rises pardoned and absolved. It is spiritual life. We knew not Jesus—our eyes could not see Christ, our ears could not hear His voice—Jehovah said "Live," and we were quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins. Moreover, it includes glory-life, which is the perfection of spiritual life. "I said unto thee, Live:" and that word rolls on through all the years of time till death comes, and in the midst of the shadows of death, the Lord's voice is still heard, "Live!" In the morning of the resurrection it is that self-same voice which is echoed by the arch-angel, "Live," and as holy spirits rise to heaven to be blest for ever in the glory of their God, it is in the power of this same word, "Live." Note again, that it is an irresistible mandate. Saul of Tarsus is on the road to Damascus to arrest the saints of the living God. A voice is heard from heaven and a light is seen above the brightness of the sun, and Saul is crying out, "Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?" This mandate is a mandate of free grace. When sinners are saved, it is only and solely because God will do it to magnify His free, unpurchased, unsought grace. Christians, see your position, debtors to grace; show your gratitude by earnest, Christlike lives, and as God has bidden you live, see to it that you live in earnest.

THE RELIGIOUS PENDULUM by Brother Michael

“Sheep Caught in the Crossfires”

Many Christians have grown weary of the hypocrisy associated with the church today and have gone looking for a more intimate relationship with God and His pure truth. The people that have outgrown the conventional church (the harlot) are commonly referred to as
“God’s Elect”, “The Chosen”, “The Called-Out”, “The True Church” or the Greek translation of “The Ekklēsia (ek-klay-see'-ah)”. For those that have rejected the love of the world and are willing to sacrifice ALL to be conformed into the image of God’s Son (Romans 8:28-29), these definitions would be considered accurate.

The problem for these former parishioners lies in following the old habit of seeking a pulpit for their spiritual food. It is often difficult to break old habits, and the habit of listening to a preacher is deeply ingrained into their spiritual routine. What God would have them do is turn to Him for their spiritual nourishment; seek His will through prayer; meditate on His word; and obediently yield to the leading of His Spirit. Unfortunately, the transition from the traditional church to true sainthood for many of these holiness seekers must first run the gauntlet of those that have opportunistically positioned themselves as God’s ordained preachers, teachers, and/or watchmen.

Like many of those that these watchmen shepherd, they too have left the traditional church and its conventional teachings behind. These self-ordained preachers to God’s elect, proclaim a responsibility to teach the “Truth” about the Gospel of Jesus Christ; all the time earnestly avoiding the hypocrisy of the harlot. There are a number of potential problems here; first, the inherent paranoia deeply ingrained against teaching conventional church doctrine; second, blurring the lines of truth that lie between sound doctrine and that of denominational influence; and third, a formal education in the field of Ministry, Divinity, or Theology that might help one to objectively tell the difference.

The bottom line; there is a very real danger for the body of Christ in following the extremes of “easy believism” as taught in the harlot today, as well as those extremes that have emerged in rebellion of those same teachings. This religious pendulum places God’s sheep squarely in the cross hairs of the one doing the preaching. The typical outcome for those choosing to remain in the traditional church is a life of spiritual compromise and ultimate separation from God. The outcome for those sitting under the seditious teachings of today’s watchman is foundational confusion, pride and ultimate separation from God.

I say pride, because it is a natural consequence occurring when any group or individual sets themselves above the status quo in any particular field of endeavor. To confirm the validity of their particular position, they must cast doubt and suspicion on any position that repudiates their own. A prime example of this is found in the Catholic Church; teaching that all other religions are grossly in error, and that those that do not follow in their beliefs have no chance of reaching heaven. On the same topic, there are many of us that would be willing to proclaim the complete opposite with an equal amount of fervor. In fact, there is no other topic globally that has the potential to solicit a heated emotional response like that of the topic of a person’s religious convictions (be they right or wrong).

A sure way to determine if you or your rebellious pastor/watchman are guilty of elevating yourselves to a position of pride, is by examining how you behave toward those that you believe are still in error. Do you grieve as Jesus might over the state of their souls? or do aspire to a position of superiority, taking every opportunity to confirm the validity of your choice, and seeking occasion to publicly humiliate any individual that contradicts your ideals? Did Jesus publicly slander the character of the woman caught in adultery? or the woman at the well? or the rich man? Of the seven things outlined on God’s hate list, surely pride and sowing discord among the brethren are perilously encroached in any ministry that thrives at the expense of another. Love the brethren, put the flesh under the control of the Spirit at all times, and always be ready to give account of yourself to God!

Who is it that you are following? do you know them? really know them? In identifying those Spirit filled men of God that are truly called to feed the sheep of Jesus Christ, and those that are simply embracing the prideful passion of their own enthusiasm; the Bible tells us that we will know them by their fruit. In writing to Titus, Paul breaks down this fruit of Godly leadership in explicit detail.

Titus 1:7-9: “For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.”

This counsel given to Titus (and to us as well) was more than a casual suggestion, it was a solemn warning! What Paul is saying here, is that before we subject our souls to anyone’s preaching, we need to take a prayerful, diligent account of the one doing the preaching. If we recognize ANY of the character flaws outlined in Paul’s warning, then we need to seriously question the validity of the preacher. In a recent article I had the misfortune of reading, an internet preacher provided me with a prime example of what we might watch for in identifying one (or more) of the character flaws shared in the above passage. Sorry folks, but here is a small portion of that article: (view article here)

“And YES, my "sanctified friends", I know you and I AM sick of the b*** s***. Your sanctimonious b.s. I'll stand for what I believe. If I'm a little too irreverent for some folks, then go somewhere else.”

I would have enjoyed watching Paul’s face as he read this article! Or I wonder what Jesus thinks about this man professing to be a teacher of His truth to His sheep? Is there any of the above character warnings that weren’t violated? After further consideration, I think I’ll take this pastor up on his generous offer to
“go somewhere else.”

And by the way, in the same article that the above quote was taken from, this walking demonstration of Paul’s warning posted the following Scripture in support of his position.

2Co 6:14: “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?”

What indeed?

A leader of God’s people must be completely transparent; open to observation and reproof at any time from any of the members of his immediate following. If a professing pastor, teacher or watchman, intentionally places himself or his lifestyle out of the reach of those he says he is called to shepherd, something is wrong! And considering you are trusting this self-proclaimed man of God with your eternal soul, shouldn’t you be at least a little suspicious if he leads a recluse life of non-accountability?

In addressing the teaching of sound Biblical doctrine, beware of any teacher that changes the Scriptures and justifies those changes by virtue of his own bias perceptions. A case in point, is a teaching I recently read on the subject of group prayer. This teacher completely disqualified Christ’s encouragement to come together in corporate prayer by pointing out that Jesus reproved the Pharisees for their public praying, noting that their prayers were only done out of prideful motives. In making his point about these Pharisees he says (view article here):

“WHY did they do it...? Right, to be seen of men. There's their reward! Vanity! Pride! Let's all join hands in this godless pagan circle and take turns, one by one and "pray". Then we can see who made the best prayer and hold them up in esteem. Maybe it'll be ME! Think of that! ME! What a reward! Or maybe you'll just catch some disease from holding the next guy's hand.”

Is this really what Jesus thought of those devout followers He came to die for? Did He have such a low opinion of the men and women that professed their love for Him that He would have called them a godless circle of diseased pagans? The Pharisees did not have the infilling of the Holy Spirit, but the followers of Jesus Christ did (and do)! How else could He have promised to be in their midst as the “two or three” that would “come together in His name?” (Matthew18:20)

As this cynical teacher continued with his teaching on group prayer, he drew attention to the passage out of the 12th chapter of Acts, where “many were gathered together praying.” But once again chose to infuse his own pessimistic brand of sarcasm, noting once again that the “Elect” of God that he professes to shepherd, aren’t capable of the unity afforded the early church. If you are following this man’s ministry, this is what he thinks of you!

“Now you're going to hammer me with Acts 12 aren't you? Sure you are. Well, the "church" prayed constantly. The household's door, upon which Peter knocked, was praying. Something tells us that it wasn't the kind of internet, post-a-prayer, "I have a hangnail" need, or pay-n-pray, we're used to today. Nay brethren. The prayer closet became full with more than one, simply because the few gathered, WERE ONE at that time. Are we thus today...? That'd be nice, now wouldn't it?”

How does one appoint himself as shepherd over a select group of believers that have come out of the harlot in search of a deeper walk with their Heavenly Father, only to tell these precious souls that they have no chance of ever achieving this level of fellowship? Doesn’t God have something to say about the intent of the heart? Hasn’t God always looked past our fleshly limitations and gone directly to the heart for truth? Doesn’t the sovereignty of God play a vital role in the growth of every true believer, doing a work of sanctification in the hearts and minds of those being “conformed into the image of His Son?”

1Chronicles 28:9: “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.”

1Samuel 16:7: “But the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.’”

1Thes. 3:12-13: “And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.”

1Thes. 5:23-24: “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”

Phil. 2:13: “For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”

Psalm 73:24: “You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.”

This same teacher continues to mislead his sheep through forcing the Scriptures into his own brand of seditious molding; professing that corporate prayer was only necessary for those spiritual laborers of the first century. That the need for Christians to come together to pray for their needs died out with the apostles. Did the first century Christians have more problems than we have today? Was the threat of the spiritual warfare outlined in the 6th chapter of Ephesians greater during the days of the apostles than it is for us today? No where in the Scriptures does it tell us that the promises of Jesus Christ were limited to the apostles only. The promises of our Blessed Saviour were intended for all of us, forever!

Eph. 3:20-21: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

John 14:16: “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.”

(Did the Helper abide with the apostles forever, or was this meant for us as well?)

John 14:12-13: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”

Was Jesus precluding all other believers throughout the remainder of all time when He said “he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also?” Was this promise for the apostles only? or was it intended for every future believer that would die to self, pick up their cross and follow in His footsteps? Is God no longer interested in receiving glory?

The religious pendulum will continue to swing in dramatic fashion in the direction of the one causing the momentum. I am most certainly no proponent of easy believism and I am no Calvinist. I harbor no delusions of grandeur that guarantee my salvation without me first working out my salvation with fear and trembling. On the other hand, I have known the depths of despair that can, and often does, accompany the maligning teachings of one that I have given my heart-felt trust and respect to. When we start believing the teachings of those that for one reason or another, have too much of their own personalities seeded in with their teachings, we run the risk of absorbing more than the word being preached. At the same time, we also lose sight of what our Heavenly Father wants for us, and the blessed assurance that comes from knowing that we need not be perfect to be loved. God will recognize the intent of your heart and will meet you at that place of surrender. Worry not about your sanctification saints, ...
“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”

Eph. 2:4-8: “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”

In closing:

I leave you with a sermon preached by Paris Reidhead from his church in New York City in 1963 entitled “If Any Three” (audio link below). In this insightful message, brother Reidhead points out four categorical errors commonly experienced in man’s misguided motivation for coming to Christ, and the one true reason, only reason, that man should seek Christ! Although Brother Reidhead was a pastor for the Christian and Missionary Alliance (along with A.W. Tozer), and was obliged to deliver his sermons within the confines of his denominational covering, you will hear this committed man of God denounce the powerless state of the church, and endorse the coming together of small groups for corporate, as well as individual prayer and worship. He adds that the power of these “cell meetings” are based entirely in the union of those true believers that are willing to commit more than one day in seven, and one dime on the dollar, in the heart-felt desire to demonstrate their love and obedience for Jesus Christ. Today we would refer to these holiness seekers as ... “The Ekklēsia”.

May God richly bless you with the gift of Spiritual discernment, that you not only come to a full understanding of the truth, but that Father will strengthen your heart to follow the truth. As we stand before the judgment seat of Christ, none will have a valid excuse for not walking in the truth we were exposed to. Stay in the Light saints, we care about you!

In His Service,
Brother Michael

Link to Obstinate Fence Dwellers

This is an excellent message about the obstinate fence dwellers. There is MUCH to be learned by the practical consequences described that will also be the judgment and wrath of Abba Father for SO MANY pseudo obstinate "  Christian"  fence dwellers who are church goers and non church goers alike, if they do not repent!

TRUST IN GOD AGAINST SLANDER ( A MUST read!)

 TRUST IN GOD AGAINST SLANDER

IMITATION OF CHRIST by Thomas a' Kempis

The Forty-Fifth Chapter
ALL MEN ARE NOT TO BE BELIEVED, FOR IT IS EASY TO ERR IN SPEECH

THE DISCIPLE

GRANT me help in my needs, O Lord, for the aid of man is useless. How often have I failed to find faithfulness in places where I thought I possessed it! And how many times I have found it where I least expected it! Vain, therefore, is hope in men, but the salvation of the just is in You, O God. Blessed be Your name, O Lord my God, in everything that befalls us.

We are weak and unstable, quickly deceived and changed. Who is the man that is able to guard himself with such caution and care as not sometimes to fall into deception or perplexity? He who confides in You, O Lord, and seeks You with a simple heart does not fall so easily. And if some trouble should come upon him, no matter how entangled in it he may be, he will be more quickly delivered and comforted by You. For You will not forsake him who trusts in You to the very end.

Rare is the friend who remains faithful through all his friend's distress. But You, Lord, and You alone, are entirely faithful in all things; other than You, there is none so faithful.

Oh, how wise is that holy soul[38] who said: "My mind is firmly settled and founded in Christ." If that were true of me, human fear would not so easily cause me anxiety, nor would the darts of words disturb. But who can foresee all things and provide against all evils? And if things foreseen have often hurt, can those which are unlooked for do otherwise than wound us gravely? Why, indeed, have I not provided better for my wretched self? Why, too, have I so easily kept faith in others? We are but men, however, nothing more than weak men, although we are thought by many to be, and are called, angels.

In whom shall I put my faith, Lord? In whom but You? You are the truth which does not deceive and cannot be deceived. Every man, on the other hand, is a liar, weak, unstable, and likely to err, especially in words, so that one ought not to be too quick to believe even that which seems, on the face of it, to sound true. How wise was Your warning to beware of men; that a man's enemies are those of his own household; that we should not believe if anyone says: "Behold he is here, or behold he is there."

I have been taught to my own cost, and I hope it has given me greater caution, not greater folly. "Beware," they say, "beware and keep to yourself what I tell you!" Then while I keep silent, believing that the matter is secret, he who asks me to be silent cannot remain silent himself, but immediately betrays both me and himself, and goes his way. From tales of this kind and from such careless men protect me, O Lord, lest I fall into their hands and into their ways. Put in my mouth words that are true and steadfast and keep far from me the crafty tongue, because what I am not willing to suffer I ought by all means to shun.

Oh, how good and how peaceful it is to be silent about others, not to believe without discrimination all that is said, not easily to report it further, to reveal oneself to few, always to seek You as the discerner of hearts, and not to be blown away by every wind of words, but to wish that all things, within and beyond us, be done according to the pleasure of Thy will.

How conducive it is for the keeping of heavenly grace to fly the gaze of men, not to seek abroad things which seem to cause admiration, but to follow with utmost diligence those which give fervor and amendment of life! How many have been harmed by having their virtue known and praised too hastily! And how truly profitable it has been when grace remained hidden during this frail life, which is all temptation and warfare!

The Forty-Sixth Chapter
TRUST IN GOD AGAINST SLANDER

THE VOICE OF CHRIST
MY CHILD, stand firm and trust in Me. For what are words but words? They fly through the air but hurt not a stone. If you are guilty, consider how you would gladly amend. If you are not conscious of any fault, think that you wish to bear this for the sake of God. It is little enough for you occasionally to endure words, since you are not yet strong enough to bear hard blows.

And why do such small matters pierce you to the heart, unless because you are still carnal and pay more heed to men than you ought? You do not wish to be reproved for your faults and you seek shelter in excuses because you are afraid of being despised. But look into yourself more thoroughly and you will learn that the world is still alive in you, in a vain desire to please men. For when you shrink from being abased and confounded for your failings, it is plain indeed that you are not truly humble or truly dead to the world, and that the world is not crucified in you.

Listen to My word, and you will not value ten thousand words of men. Behold, if every malicious thing that could possibly be invented were uttered against you, what harm could it do if you ignored it all and gave it no more thought than you would a blade of grass? Could it so much as pluck one hair from your head?

He who does not keep his heart within him, and who does not have God before his eyes is easily moved by a word of disparagement. He who trusts in Me, on the other hand, and who has no desire to stand by his own judgment, will be free from the fear of men. For I am the judge and discerner of all secrets. I know how all things happen. I know who causes injury and who suffers it. From Me that word proceeded, and with My permission it happened, that out of many hearts thoughts may be revealed. I shall judge the guilty and the innocent; but I have wished beforehand to try them both by secret judgment.

The testimony of man is often deceiving, but My judgment is true -- it will stand and not be overthrown. It is hidden from many and made known to but a few. Yet it is never mistaken and cannot be mistaken even though it does not seem right in the eyes of the unwise.

To Me, therefore, you ought to come in every decision, not depending on your own judgment. For the just man will not be disturbed, no matter what may befall him from God. Even if an unjust charge be made against him he will not be much troubled. Neither will he exult vainly if through others he is justly acquitted. He considers that it is I Who search the hearts and inmost thoughts of men, that I do not judge according to the face of things or human appearances. For what the judgment of men considers praiseworthy is often worthy of blame in My sight.

THE DISCIPLE

O Lord God, just Judge, strong and patient, You Who know the weakness and depravity of men, be my strength and all my confidence, for my own conscience is not sufficient for me. You know what I do not know, and, therefore, I ought to humble myself whenever I am accused and bear it meekly. Forgive me, then, in Your mercy for my every failure in this regard, and give me once more the grace of greater endurance. Better to me is Your abundant mercy in obtaining pardon than the justice which I imagine in defending the secrets of my conscience. And though I am not conscious to myself of any fault, yet I cannot thereby justify myself, because without Your mercy no man living will be justified in Your sight.

This is the MOST piercing Word uttered in Spirit that so deals with the present troubles and slander that is in full force pitting Christian against the followers of Christ. Even those of us who would appear innocent and so desire NOT to engage in such vile behavior find our selves being pulled like a whirlpool into this utter cesspool of darkness and all kinds of confusion and disillusionment. These Words spoken of Yeshua Himself uttered through your very weakness gives what is spoken the greatest power and healing one can received to those having ears to HEAR and eyes to SEE!

<3 PURELY THE HEART OF ABBA, PURELY CHRIST JESUS THE ANOINTED RISEN SAVIOR AND PURELY SPIRIT PIERCING THE SOUL and DIVIDING OUR FLESH WHICH IS AT ENMITY WITH ABBA FATHER OUR CREATOR FROM OUR SPIRIT BORN FROM ABOVE! <3

Linda @->--

I am compelled to post this on my blogger as well in hopes it will accomplish what HE wills in those who have ears to hear what Spirit is saying in these crucial times we are presently in.
A time of the GREATEST waring against our souls ever in recorded history by our adversary who roams around like a roaring lion seeking to whom he may devour.

The connection of Pharmakia and the religious institution we call "Church"

This is a part of Netty Daniels blog she just put up called Plague of the Heart part 4
Please, when you get a chance read the whole blog. I would also encourage you to read part 1-3 as well. INCREDIBLE unfolding of what our Lord has done from a most painful past that a lot of us can not only relate to, but find healing in it from our own past traumas.
What I want to put up is a snip-it that links pharmakia with the Church.
The demonic and spiritual witchcraft of rebellion connecting the physical with the spiritual counterfeit. I too have experienced this throughout the years when I was in quite a few "churches"
I will not digress too much because what Spirit through Netty put together in what you are about to read speaks for itself.
Snip-it of Plagues of the Heart part 4 by Netty Daniel
I had just been released from the cardiac intensive care unit a few days prior for an overdose of a brand new full prescription bottle of Tofronil; one of the grand delusional poisons they refer to as an "anti-depressant". I was now in their locked-down psychiatric unit for observation and treatment by individuals who had absolutely no clue or understanding of my needs or how to help me. I was depressed, angry and had acted out in rebellion against taking their new medications and fought against attending their group psychiatric babble. I was not allowed any contact with familiar faces from the outside world.
Right about now many may be feeling empathy for where my life was at this time. Please don't. Yes, it was very bad; yet as I look out today upon the Christian community, some thirty (30) plus years later, I see most professed Christians living in a "spiritual straight-jacket." They are not experiencing freedom from sin, oppression/depression, or self-love.
Organized religion isn't any different than the wicked practice of psychiatric pharmakia in as much as you go into a modern church service and experience a temporary mood altering worship service which is carefully designed to stimulate the endorphins. The "romantic" music is performed in a sequence that for all intense purposes stimulates a highly affective emotional response. This is then followed by a carefully prepared and articulated evangelical PMA (positive mental attitude) oration. However, once the service is over the emotional "feel good" wears off quickly as you leave the building and face life's challenges. This temporary soulish experience of organized religion passes leaving many feeling even more self-defeated as they meet difficult circumstances. And yet because they are told that what what they experienced was actually God a.k.a the Holy Spirit; they become discouraged and confused; and sometimes angry, resorting right back to the world as their source.
My experience with organized religion was just as bad, and perhaps even worse at times. Instead of a man in a white jacket, now I had organized religion leaving me feeling hopeless. I now felt that God had failed me.
My bouts with depression reoccurred, now combined with the added experience a violent judgment of the pseudo religious who would now condemn me for my depression when their pseudo exploits didn't produce the desired results. The mind-control activity was toxic for me as I was already predisposed to mental illness. Many touted the authority to cast out my demons with loud erratic behavior not dissimilar to what I saw in the mental hospital.
I did not receive healing because the fact of the matter was that I had actually met religion, and not Abba Father. PMA speeches and loud praying in tongues did not have the power to heal my brokenness.
I have since met Abba Father in a personal and intimate relationship that no religious organization can manufacture. True spiritual healing only comes through times of prayer, crying, and knowing His attributes and will through the study of His word. Oh, yes, and with a decision to walk away from this world as our source of gratification. =)
If you get nothing more out of my blogs, I pray you will embrace the knowledge that God is merciful, longsuffering, forgiving; That God does not have an allotment of love that He stingily measures out as man does based on the shifting moods or emotions. God does not have love, He is "love".
Just as importantly; if you have not already done so, I pray that you will come to the knowledge that the blood of Jesus was shed for you so that you might have eternal life through Him. Whatever your sins may have been, the scriptures tell us that "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:6 The scriptures also go on to encourage us that God understands our frailties as noted in Psalm 103:6,8-14:

The LORD executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
The LORD is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us,
As a father pities his children,
So the LORD pities those who fear Him.
For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.
God bless my precious sister Linda Rose. This song has touched my heart deeply in that I once felt that my pain was my companion. Today, Abba Father is!
