(THE CALLING: SPIRITSONG)

IN 1978 the summer of my senior year in high school I was drawn and apprehended by the Holy Spirit to the beginning of my salvation in Jesus. My life changed radically after that. I had a male friend who also came to Christ who was a musician and I wanted so bad to be able to play the guitar and sing. He had an extra guitar he gave me and taught me five simple chords to get me started on my way. That was my first and last guitar lesson. Everything else I received and learned was by Abba's Spirit who gifted me to play by ear and sing melody and harmony on key. The times I played, sang and were given some songs to write were during those times I spent in prayer and fellowship with Father in Yahshua
I also led worship in some churches and messianic worship with a messianic Jewish pastor who broke away from the Assemblies of God to start his own congregation. One of the last churches I was a part in 1996 before being called to COME OUT OF HER was a word of faith church. That is where I met Stephanie and Earl who sang and were worship leaders there at that church. After about a year , around the same time, we were led to come out of the harlot church and meet in each others homes with some of the others we knew who had also left. Stephanie had quite a few of her own songs she wrote and wanted to sing in coffee houses, churches and wherever a door would open up. She got the name Spiritsong and wanted me play my 12 string acoustic electric and sing harmony. Her husband played a percussion drum called the Jambe. We did this for about a year. I have since gotten Stephanie's permission to use the name Spiritsong for the music given to me through the years. It was quite a difficult journey I will not get into. What is important is how the Spiritsongs began to rise up from that place of pain and difficult trials. There was a long time I hadn't picked up my guitar and sang till Abba poured them out like a flood back in July, 2001.
~ Today, His songs continue to flow through me that reflect my present walk with Yahweh Yahshua
